C1 Functions embedded in the Visual Editor show a "perfect preview" of the function output.
User-friendly editing C1 Functions
Editing C1 Functions from the Visual Editor is a lot more user friendly, with parameters presented as fields on a form.
Venus, a new responsive starter site
Version 4.2 comes with a new responsive starter site "Venus" - see a preview on http://venus.c1.composite.net/.
Content editing on iPad is functional
Log in to the C1 Console, browse to a page and edit it on your iPad.
Enhanced Server Log moved to the System perspective
The Server Log is moved to the System perspective. It contains login auditing, presents stack traces much better and more. If verbose logging is enabled, the log will also contain auditing info about major actions like page edits, and user access changes.
Visual Editor canvas width matching that of the content placeholder
The Visual Editor canvas width is now set to match the width of the content placeholder in the actual rendered template. If you update the template or CSS, the width will follow.
A new widget "FontIconSelector"
A new UI widget "FontIconSelector" for selecting glyphicons and similar font based icons is now available for your data fields.
New security permission "Configure"
A new security permission type 'Configure' is added. Actions like adding a new website and managing meta data / page folders now require this or 'Administrate' permission.
